About Brightwell Psychology

Daniel Brightwell - Registered Psychologist

With over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, I am a registered psychologist specialising in addictions, anxiety, and stress-related concerns. I have extensive experience supporting individuals struggling with gambling, substance use, and technology-related addictions, as well as those navigating self-doubt, low mood, and life transitions.

I’ve worked across a range of settings, including universities, where I’ve helped young adults manage the pressures of study, social connection, and the impact of technology on wellbeing. I understand the unique challenges faced by people striving to find balance, purpose, and confidence in today’s fast-paced world.

My approach combines Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-based interventions. Drawing from these evidence-based frameworks, I aim to help you build insight, shift unhelpful patterns, and create meaningful, values-aligned change.

I believe that growth and healing begin with understanding and compassion. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your experiences, reconnect with your values, and move toward a richer, more fulfilling life.

“Change happens not by fighting your thoughts, but by learning how to make space for them.”
